Your Personal Month number sets the tone of the current month inside your Personal Year. Enter your date of birth to get it, along with this year's and today's numbers.

## How the Personal Month is calculated

1. Calculate your [Personal Year](/personal-year-number-calculator): your birth month and birth day, each reduced to one digit, plus the current year reduced to one digit, all reduced again.
2. Add the current month, reduced to one digit (November, 11, is 2).
3. Reduce the total to one digit, from 1 to 9.

For a Personal Year of 5 in October: 5 + 1 = **6**.

### Does the Personal Month start on the 1st?

Yes. Personal Months follow the calendar month, and Personal Years follow the calendar year from 1 January.

### Are master numbers kept in the Personal Month?

No. Cycle numbers count where you are in a cycle of nine, so they are always reduced to one digit.

### How is the Personal Month different from the Personal Year?
