How the Challenges are calculated

First reduce your birth month, day and year to single digits (master numbers are reduced too, because the Challenges subtract). Then:

Each is the difference between the two numbers, the larger minus the smaller, so it is never negative. Challenges run from 0 to 8.

The four Challenges cover the same ages as the four Pinnacles: the first ends at 36 minus your Life Path, the next two last nine years each, and the fourth runs for the rest of your life.

What the Challenges describe

The third Challenge is called the main Challenge because it lasts, in the background, through your whole life.

Frequently asked questions

What does a Challenge of 0 mean?

It means no single obstacle is set for that period, so the challenge is to choose your own. Numerology reads 0 as either very easy or very demanding.

Why is there no Challenge of 9?

Because the largest difference between two single digits from 1 to 9 is 8.

Are master numbers kept in the Challenges?

No. The birth components are reduced to single digits first, so every Challenge falls between 0 and 8.
