Cornerstone and Capstone calculator

The first and last letters of your first name, the Cornerstone and the Capstone, describe how you start things and how you finish them. The first vowel adds your instinctive reaction.

Free, with no sign-up. What you type is used to calculate and is not stored.

How they are calculated

Each is the Pythagorean value of one letter of your first name:

  • Cornerstone: the first letter. How you approach new things.
  • Capstone: the last letter. How you finish them.
  • First Vowel: the first A, E, I, O or U. Your first, instinctive reaction. Y counts as a consonant, so “Lynn” has no first vowel.

For “Maria”: M is 4, A is 1, and the first vowel, A, is 1.

Frequently asked questions

Should I use my first name or the name I go by?

These numbers traditionally use your first name at birth. Many people also look at the name they use every day, which shows how they approach things now.

What if my first name is a single letter?

Then the Cornerstone and the Capstone are the same letter, and so the same number.
