Heritage number calculator

Your Heritage number comes from your family name alone. Numerology reads it as what your family passed on to you: its values, its habits and its strengths.

Free, with no sign-up. What you type is used to calculate and is not stored.

How the Heritage number is calculated

  1. Take your family name at birth. Compound surnames, such as “García López”, count whole.
  2. Add the Pythagorean values of its letters.
  3. Reduce by adding digits, keeping 11, 22 and 33.

The calculator also shows your Active number, the same calculation for your first name. Heritage and Active are the two halves of how your name presents you: where you come from and who you are day to day.

Frequently asked questions

Does a married name change my Heritage number?

The Heritage number uses your family name at birth. A married name is read as a separate, later influence.

Is the Heritage number the same as the Expression number?

No. The Expression number uses every letter of your full name; the Heritage number only your family name.
